On the third day of my stay in Norway, I had time to walk around Oslo on my own. I took the train to the Nationaltheatret Station and walked around for a bit. Initially, I walked around trying to find the National Gallery but I ended up walking around to the wrong parts of the city where I found ….
The National Theater
The National Theater is located by the National Theater station therefore if you get to Oslo and walked off the station of the National Theater, the first big European style building you will see is most likely this one. I did not go inside but from what I have seen, it seems like you can see shows in this theater. The fountain at the back of the theater is the meeting spot for Norwegian people so if you are meeting your Norwegian friends near that area make sure to go to the fountain, not the back! I made a mistake and my friend told me only losers hang out at the front.
The Nobel Peace Center
I didn’t go in but it is a museum sorta stuff. I heard it used to be a station long time ago. Pretty cool right?
The Town Hall
The Town Hall is the tallest tower in Oslo! I have heard that there is a regulation not to build any buildings taller than the Town Hall. The Town Hall/city hall is very pretty! Make sure to check the wodden art surroding the entrance of the town hall. They are very beautiful!
