Kawagoe

If you want to go to a place that reminds you of Old Japan, why not head out to Kawagoe.  You can take a train up or take a car. It reminded me of Kamakura but what is slightly different is that all the buildings on this street are old style Japanese buildings.  You can buy souvenir of all kind. Make sure to check out sweet potatoes because Kawagoe is famous for sweet potatoes.  I personally did not like sweet potato  manju but I really liked baked sweet potatoes.

A very long post of another long and rainy day in Kawagoe. The place is famous for the clay warehouses from the Edo period, I’ve never seen so many gathered in one place, and so beautifully preserved. It’s not my first time
